Brightline Holdings has acquired a 110-acre parcel in Las Vegas that will serve as the future home for a Brightline West station.
Brightline is developing Brightline West to connect Las Vegas to Los Angeles via high-speed rail. The line also will include stations in Victor Valley, Rancho Cucamonga and Palmdale, California, and will have direct access to Metrolink to reach key points in Los Angeles, such as Union Station.
Plans are currently being developed for the 65,000-square-foot Las Vegas terminal, which will include parking spaces and connections to various ground transportation systems. It will be located at the south end of Las Vegas Boulevard.
"The site affords us the size and optimum characteristics to fully execute our vision that will be anchored by the most convenient connection between two of the most significant markets in the West," said Sarah Watterson, Brightline West's president and chief development officer, in a news release.
