CHSRA board appoints Richard chairman

The California High-Speed Rail Authority (CHSRA) last week elected Dan Richard to serve as chairman to succeed Thomas Umberg, who resigned from the post last month.
Umberg will continue to serve as a board member.
California Gov. Jerry Brown appointed Richard to the CHSRA board in August 2011. Principal of Dan Richard Advisors since 2010, he previously served as managing partner and co-founder of infrastructure finance firm Heritage Oak Capital Partners. From 1992 to 2004, Richards served on the Bay Area Rapid Transit Board, including two terms as president.
Umberg will continue to serve as a board member.
