CHSRA launches overhauled website
advertisement
Yesterday, the California High Speed Rail Authority unveiled a redesigned website that offers “up-to-the minute, in-depth, easy-to-find and region-specific information” on the state’s high-speed rail project, according to the authority.
Research showed that site visitors wanted more region-specific content, CHSRA said, so the authority now displays and tags content by region. The site also features new region-specific pages for each section of the project that include planning information, maps, meeting details, environmental and planning documents, and a project update from each section team.
In addition, the site includes:
• an improved search function;
• an interactive feature to educate visitors on the rail system’s environmental analysis, planning and construction stages;
• a “Get Started” section to orient new visitors with the proposed project;
• contact information on each page, customized by subject and section, to simplify the process of sending an inquiry or comment;
• live multimedia streams of board meetings;
• incorporation of social media channels; and
• a redesigned “Gallery” page that provides visitors with regional and statewide high-speed rail images and videos.
