The California High-Speed Rail Authority (CHSRA) appointed Justin Chechourka as its new multimedia manager. He previously served as a senior producer at Sacramento's NBC affiliate KCRA, where he wrote and developed newscasts, stories, promotions and online content. In his new role with CHSRA, Chechourka will develop and implement a statewide multimedia plan aimed at educating the public about the proposed high-speed line through video production, animation and social media. "Multimedia enhances our ability to educate the public of the many benefits of high-speed rail," said CHSRA Chief Executive Officer Jeff Morales in a press release.The authority also appointed Daniel Curtin to its board. Curtin has served as director for the California Conference of Carpenters since 2001, and from 1992 to 1999. He also worked as chief deputy director for the state's Department of Industrial Relations from 1999 to 2001.Curtin's term lasts until the end of 2017.
