Coalition lobbies for $4 billion in federal HSR funding in FY2011

The Fourbillion.com Coalition is working to build momentum and grassroots support for $4 billion in high-speed and intercity passenger-rail grants to states in fiscal-year 2011.
In FY2010, Congress authorized $2.5 billion in high-speed rail funding — more than double President Obama’s budget request.
The Fourbillion.com coalition comprises groups such as the Midwest High Speed Rail Association, All Aboard Ohio, U.S. PIRG (the federation of state Public Interest Research Groups), Virginians for High Speed Rail, Southeast High Speed Rail Association, National Association of Railroad Passengers, Southeast High Speed Rail Association, Transportation for America and America 2050.
