Congress signs off on FY10 transportation funds

It’s official: Congress has approved the FY2010 Departments of Transportation, Housing and Urban Development and Related Agencies appropriations bill, which includes $2.5 billion for high-speed and intercity rail grants, according to the American Public Transportation Association.

The bill also includes specific language urging the U.S. transportation secretary and Federal Railroad Administration to advance high-speed rail along 11 named corridors.
