Late this month, the Florida Department of Transportation’s Florida Rail Enterprise will launch a series of meetings on the Tampa-Orlando high-speed rail project geared toward Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, Minority/Women Business Enterprises and other minority-owned businesses and small businesses.

Florida Rail Enterprise officials will describe the project, including the procurement process, subcontracting opportunities, and how firms can be certified for and participate in a DBE.

Meetings will be held Aug. 31 at the Tampa Convention Center, Sept. 1 at the Lakeland Civic Center and Sept. 2 at the Orange County Convention Center.
