Hanson, Parsons to complete EIS for Illinois high-speed line

The Illinois Department of Transportation recently contracted the Hanson-Parsons Joint Venture to complete an environmental impact statement (EIS) for the St. Louis-to-Chicago high-speed rail corridor. The joint venture comprises engineering firms Hanson Professional Services Inc. and Parsons Transportation Group Inc.
The Tier I EIS will address environmental issues associated with double-tracking rail lines between St. Louis and Chicago to handle 110 mph passenger-rail service.
