CG/LA Infrastructure L.L.C recently named high speed rail one of the top 100 infrastructure projects in North America, with a total project value of $60 billion.
Projects were chosen and scored based on their contributions to local economic productivity and global competitiveness, reliable projections on job creation/opportunities and business opportunities, and energy productivity.
The total estimated value of all 100 projects is nearly $465 billion, with the potential to create nearly 7 million full-time positions over the next five years, CG/LA officials said in a prepared statement.
The list was released just prior to CG/LA’s second North America Strategic Infrastructure Leadership Forum. To be held in fall, the forum will feature presentations on a selection of 50 of the projects, including the Chicago-to-St. Louis high-speed rail project.
