Hollysys Automation Technologies Ltd. recently received a $12.4 million contract to supply its ground-based high-speed rail signaling system to Phase I of China’s Tai-Zhong-Yin Railway line.

Hollysys’ system comprises train control centers, temporary speed restriction servers and line side electronic units.

The 944-kilometer Tai- Zhong-Yin Railway Line connects Taiyuan, the capital of Shanxi Province, and Yinchuan, the capital of Ningxia Province, via the city of Zhongwei in Ningxia. The project’s first phase involves a 460-kilometer segment (from Taiyuan to Dingbian), with a designed traveling speed of 200 kilometer per hour.

The Phase I segment is scheduled to be operational by year’s end.
