Hollysys Automation Technologies recently signed a $2.1 million contract to supply its 200-250 kph high-speed rail signaling system to Ying Heng Technology (Shanghai) Co. Ltd.
Under the contract's terms, Hollysys will set up a demonstration laboratory at its Beijing facility to enable Ying Heng parent company Unitelco to study the signaling system. The technology features a ground-based train control center, on-board automatic train protection, simulation software and other components. If Unitelco purchases the signaling system, the contract would be valued at $3.2 million and include other Hollysys software.
The laboratory will pave the way for a potential partnership between Hollysys and Unitelco to provide high-speed rail signaling and control solutions to the international market, according to a prepared statement.
“We see a great fit in our potential partnership with Unitelco, in which Unitelco brings its marketing and project implementation capability to the table,” said Hollysys Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Changli Wang.
