Illinois commission to discuss Chicago-to-St. Louis corridor

On Sept. 9, the Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC) will hold a policy briefing on the proposed Chicago-to-St. Louis high-speed rail corridor.
To be held at the ICC's Springfield office, the meeting will include a discussion of the current high-speed rail plans for the corridor. Scheduled speakers include Michael Payette, assistant vice president of governmental affairs for Union Pacific Railroad; Mike Garcia, railroad engineering unit chief for the Illinois Department of Transportation; and James Donelan, assistant to Springfield Mayor Tim Davlin.
