Tomorrow, the Southeast Minnesota Rail Alliance will release a study that evaluates potential rail routes between the Twin Cities and Chicago.
Developed by the Transportation Economics & Management Systems Inc., the Tri-State III High Speed Rail Study uses the latest economic, socio-economic and technical data available to compare the routes through Rochester and along the Mississippi River, analyzing travel speeds and times, projected ridership, and financial return and economic benefit, according to the alliance.
