advertisement
Earlier this week, the Federal Railroad Administration issued a record of decision on the Merced-Fresno segment of California's high-speed rail project. Now, the Obama Administration has announced plans to expedite the project.
As part of the administration's "We Can't Wait" initiative announced earlier this year, the Central Valley segment of California's high-speed rail project will be accelerated through the permitting and review process.
The faster review will apply to the 114-mile Fresno-to-Bakersfield segment of the project.
