advertisement
The federal high-speed grant obligations just keep coming. Today, the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) issued a $40 million grant to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).
PennDOT will use the funds to replace aging track and signals along the Keystone Corridor, which will eliminate delays in and out of Harrisburg, according to the USDOT. The department previously awarded PennDOT $23 million to improve safety and upgrade the corridor to accommodate future train speeds of 125 mph.
