Russian Railways builds high-speed rail line in anticipation of 2014 Winter Olympics

Russian Railways is building a rail line to provide high-speed service from Adler to Sochi Airport.
The new intermodal line is expected to carry more than 86,000 passengers daily during the 2014 Winter Olympics.
Building and assembly work is progressing ahead of schedule, Russian Railways officials said in a prepared statement. Construction of a bridge across the Bolshaya Khirota river has been completed.
In addition, tunneling work is expected to be completed by the end of the year, officials said.
