AARS Derailment Investigation & Prevention Seminar

Sheraton O'Hare, Chicago. Led by Gary Wolf.  Organized by the American Association of Railroad Superintendents (AARS). Participants will learn why wheels derail, and what the basic track structure and turnout derailment issues are. The event also will provide a detailed explanation of the three piece truck and potential derailment issues with trucks and wheels, information on train dynamics and human factors, and a detailed process to make a proper derailment site investigation.
