Schneider National introduces new logo

Schneider National Inc. yesterday unveiled a new logo featuring a more contemporary design that attempts to better reflect the company's intermodal, truckload and logistics services, and broad geographic coverage.

Introduced in 1985, the previous logo positioned the organization at the time when the company had a leading role and expertise in moving over-the-road truckload freight nationwide, Schneider National officials said in a press release. The new logo is more befitting a company operating in multiple transportation modes beyond U.S. borders, they said.

The logo retains the firm's hallmark orange color and features only the name "Schneider."

“Although we are not changing the name of our legal entities, to our associates, our customers and the communities we serve, we are, and have long been known, as Schneider," said Schneider National President and Chief Executive Officer Chris Lofgren.

A transition to the new logo will occur over time, including placement on the company's 10,000 trucks and 45,000 trailers/containers as the equipment is replaced, Schneider National officials said.
