The Port of Corpus Christi Authority will soon issue a request for proposals (RFP) seeking a short-line operator at the Port of Corpus Christi, Texas.
The authority expects to select an operator for an August 2022 contract start.
Bluejay Advisors has been chosen to lead the RFP process and advise on the selection of an operator, according to a press release from the transportation and logistics advisory firm.
Port of Corpus Christi is the third largest U.S. port by tonnage. In the past 12 months, rail-car volume through the port exceeded 50,000 carloads. In the past 10 years, the authority has invested more than $679 million in infrastructure, including two significant railroad expansion projects.
Short-line operators interested in the RFP opportunity can register as a vendor on the port's Procureware website. Follow this link to register.
