BNSF promotes Hickerson, Malesa to head intermodal business segments

Burlington Northern Santa Fe recently promoted John Hickerson and Fred Malesa to vice president of domestic intermodal and vice president of international intermodal, respectively. Both will report to Group VP of Consumer Products Steve Branscum.

Hickerson most recently served as assistant VP of truckload sales. Prior to joining BNSF in January 2004, he served as president of Roadway Next Day Corp. Hickerson previously served various Con-Way companies for 22 years, most recently as president and chief executive officer of Con-Way Southern Express.

Malesa most recently served as AVP, international marketing. He previously served BNSF as AVP of supply chain, director of field marketing, general director of field sales, general director of equipment and systems support, and account leader. Prior to BNSF, Malesa served Union Pacific Railroad for 10 years, lastly as AVP of bulk commodities.
