Yesterday, CSX Intermodal launched an expedited trailer service between Chicago and Little Ferry, N.J.
Available Monday through Wednesday, the door-to-door service offers “truck-like” transit times, a 5 p.m. gate cut-off at CSXI's 59th Street terminal in Chicago and 5 a.m. second-day availability at the company's Little Ferry terminal, according to a prepared statement.
CSXI also offers trailer services between its Bedford Park, Ill., terminal, and Little Ferry and North Bergen, N.J., intermodal facilities.
