BNSF Logistics LLC has added a TEXX 900 rail car to its specialized fleet, the company announced yesterday.

The 20-axle car is now available for customer use, BNSF Logistics officials said in a press release.

The shiftable depressed deck flatcar enables customers to move heavy haul and over dimensional loads, company officials said. The unit can haul more than 900,000 pounds and shift up 13 inches, down 11 inches and 14 inches left to right.

The rail car is one of three similar cars in North America and the only of its kind available for booking outside a private fleet, said BNSF Logistics President Dan Curtis.

BNSF Logistics is a subsidiary of Burlington Northern Santa Fe LLC, which also owns BNSF Railway Co.
