BNSF Logistics recognizes TRAC Intermodal as 'equipment provider of the year'

TRAC Intermodal has been recognized by BNSF Logistics as its 2020 Intermodal Equipment Provider of the Year.
 
BNSF Logistics provides ocean-freight services as a non-vessel operating common carrier and a top logistics provider. TRAC was recognized for its strategic support of BNSF Logistics' intermodal and drayage product lines, TRAC officials said in a press release.

TRAC provided BNSF with strategic support, a dedicated point of contact and continuous day-to-day support to help navigate the chassis-positioning landscape across markets, they said.

Last year was an especially difficult one, most notably 2020's second half with record import volumes impacting the flow of goods at just about every U.S. port, TRAC officials said. The volumes exerted extraordinary pressure on the availability of chassis and other equipment at many locations.

"Our team was there to help BNSF Logistics navigate the chassis provisioning landscape across all markets," said TRAC President and Chief Executive Officer Daniel Walsh. "These efforts included securing equipment for cargo moves, assisting with the necessary requirements, authorizations and billing processes with these moves, and providing support across a number of other areas."
