BNSF Railway Co. recently named Doug Langston assistant vice president of intermodal equipment to succeed Ed Zajac, who plans to retire after serving BNSF and its predecessors for 31 years.

Reporting to Vice President of Business Unit Operations Fritz Draper, Langston most recently led BNSF’s miscellaneous revenue team.

“[Langston] will continue to play a key role leading our intermodal equipment team to effectively manage the BNSF fleet and improve velocity,” said Draper in a prepared statement.
