CSXI adds direct lanes between Cincinnati, two Florida cities

Today, CSX Intermodal began offering direct service from Cincinnati to Tampa and Orlando.

The dedicated lanes are designed to increase CSXI's intermodal capacity and service reliability between Ohio and Florida, and reduce train handling and connections in Jacksonville.

CSXI plans to discontinue overflow service formerly offered on Sundays from Cincinnati to Jacksonville, Miami and Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; Charleston, S.C.; Savannah, Ga.; and New Orleans.
