The University of Denver’s Intermodal Transportation Institute (ITI) recently elected Stephen Branscum, BNSF Railway Co.s’ group vice president-consumer products marketing, as chairman.
In addition, Gil Carmichael — who helped found ITI 10 years ago — will transition to a new role as founding chairman. He previously was senior chairman.
ITI also announced that Chairman Thomas Finkbiner has assumed the position of senior chairman and Steven Blust, president of the Institute of International Container Lessors Ltd., has joined the board.
ITI offers an Executive Masters Program at the university that awards a Master of Science in Intermodal Transportation Management. The institute also partners with the intermodal industry, government and public to promote the development of a seamless North American freight and passenger transportation system.
