The University of Denver’s Intermodal Transportation Institute (ITI) recently added four transportation industry executives to its board.
The new directors, who will serve three-year terms, are:
• Kent Avery, executive vice president of OmniTRAX Inc.’s Quality Terminal Services and Quality Automotive Services L.L.C.;
• Patrick Casey, vice president of fleet management for TTX Co.;
• Jim LaBounty, senior vice president and director of supply chain for JCPenney; and
• Robert Yates, co-founder of Greenbriar Intermodal and an internationally recognized expert on double-stack container transportation.
Marking its 10th anniversary this year, ITI offers an executive masters program that awards graduates a master of science in intermodal transportation management from the Denver university. The institute’s board comprises more than 50 executives and leaders from the freight and passenger transportation industries, and academic institutions.
