Genesee & Wyoming's Rail Link to serve new San Antonio port complex

The Port of San Antonio recently contracted Rail Link Inc. to provide rail services for a new industrial park/port facility.
A Genesee & Wyoming Inc. subsidiary, Rail Link will provide rail-car switching services at its San Antonio railport. Rail Link, which serves industrial customers at 30 locations in 11 states and operates 26 short lines, interchanges with BNSF Railway Co. and Union Pacific Railroad at the railport.
The port agency is turning the former East Kelly Air Force Base into an inland port, and warehouse and distribution hub.
