Ports of Indiana yesterday announced Jody Peacock has been named CEO.
Peacock has served in leadership positions at the statewide port authority since 2001, most recently as senior vice president for business development.
Since joining the port authority, Peacock has helped develop multiple strategic plans and business initiatives that reshaped the Ports of Indiana from a small, government-funded agency to a self-funded enterprise with record growth, port authority officials said in a press release. He spent more than 10 years directing the authority’s communications, marketing, government relations and corporate affairs departments, and its foreign-trade zone program.
Peacock succeeds Vanta Coda II, who served as CEO from 2018 to 2022.
The port authority operates three ports: Burns Harbor on Lake Michigan, which is served by all Class Is; and Jeffersonville and Mt. Vernon on the Ohio River, which are served by CSX, Norfolk Southern Railway and Louisville and Indiana Railroad, and Evansville Western Railway and five Class Is, respectively.
