London railway contracts Wabtec to refurbish high-speed passenger cars

Today, Wabtec Corp. announced its Wabtec Rail subsidiary obtained a $27 million contract to refurbish 103 passenger cars used on high-speed trains operated by London’s Great North Eastern Railway Ltd.

Scheduled to be delivered in 2007 and 2008, the cars will feature new seating, luggage racks and lighting, and newly painted exteriors.
