Murex LLC, a low carbon fuels marketing and logistics company, has announced contracts to add a renewable diesel unit train-capable transloading service at New Orlean’s Gulf Gateway Terminal (GGT).

The company owns and operates GGT within the Port of New Orleans, where it has connections to six Class Is, officials said in a press release. The terminal recently started the transloading service alongside its conventional diesel service, with options to add additional products.

Customers going through GGT have access to the 48 contiguous states and Alaska as well as Canada and Mexico. Murex also markets products from 12 domestic biofuels plants. The company trades nearly 2 billion gallons of product worldwide.

"We are proud to offer renewable diesel service from Gulf Gateway Terminal that offers ultimate optionality — to California, Canada and beyond as carbon markets develop,” said Murex President and Co-Founder Robert Wright in a press release.
