Yesterday, Pacer International Inc. named Val Noel president of Pacer Cartage, the company's local trucking business unit.
With more than 20 years' experience in trucking and intermodal operations, Noel most recently served as president of CSX Intermodal. He previously served CSXI and its predecessor companies in various commercial and operating positions.
Pacer Cartage is part of Pacer International's wholesale division, which also includes double-stack container service provider Pacer Stacktrain.
"Working closely with Val Noel and his team, Pacer's wholesale segment will continue to work hand-in-hand with our customers, the intermodal
marketing companies and ocean carriers, to improve the door-to-door reliability of the intermodal product," said Pacer Stacktrain President Tom Shurstad in a prepared statement.
