Pittsburgh Logistics Systems Inc. (PLS) recently appointed Louis Williams vice president of rail strategy. He will be responsible for expanding the firm’s rail, intermodal and multi-modal offerings.
Williams, who has 25 years’ experience in the rail and logistics industries, most recently founded and was president of MarginLinx Consulting. He previously served as director of procurement and supplier management for third-party logistics firm Cendian, and spent 15 years at CSX Transportation in various capacities.
PLS provides third-party logistics services to producers and processors of metals, lumber and building materials.
