On Sept. 15, Schneider National Inc. named Mark Coleman and Chris Knauss vice president of Southwest sales and vice president of regional (West) sales, respectively. Both will report to Greg Sanders, vice president of sales for the southwestern and western United States.

Coleman and Knauss will be responsible for increasing business across all transportation modes — including intermodal and dedicated trucking — in the Southwest and West, comprising 12 states and two Canadian provinces.

Employed by Schneider National since 1984, Coleman most recently served as vice president of sales, Midwest region, leading sales and marketing efforts for intermodal, van and brokerage divisions. He previously served as director of marketing, automotive national account manager, service team leader, strategic marketing analyst and service coordination manager.

With Schneider National since 1980, Knauss most recently served as senior regional sales manager, Pacific Northwest region. His previous positions include service team leader, customer service manager, flow manager, and regional manager of sales and marketing. Prior to Schneider National, Knauss served United Parcel Service as Oregon district customer-service manager.

Schneider National offers "TruckRail" and "TruckRail Express" premium trailer services with Burlington Northern Santa Fe and CSX Transportation, and an "OptiModal" expedited container service with Union Pacific Railroad and Norfolk Southern Railway.
