Yesterday, Schneider National Inc. announced Bill Matheson has been appointed acting president of intermodal and Mark Rourke, president of truckload. The executives will split the responsibilities of President of Transportation Scott Arves, who resigned to pursue other opportunities.

Most recently vice president and general manager of intermodal, Matheson will be responsible for Schneider intermodal services, including a new Ohio Valley-to-Missouri dedicated container move with CSX Transportation and Kansas City Southern.

Most recently GM of transportation management, Rourke will be responsible for one-way, dedicated, expedited and bulk trucking services.

“Appointing presidents of the truckload and intermodal divisions separately is a natural move as each offering in our enterprise grows,” said Schneider National President and Chief Executive Officer Chris Lofgren in a prepared statement.
