Yesterday, Schneider National Inc. promoted Senior Vice President of Finance David Vander Ploeg to chief financial officer, effective Jan. 3. He will succeed Thomas Gannon, who will serve as vice chairman and secretary.
Since joining Schneider National in 1983, Vander Ploeg has served in various financial and management positions. He previously served Arthur Andersen & Co. as a senior auditor.
Schneider National offers TruckRail® and TruckRail Express™ premium trailer services with Burlington Northern Santa Fe and CSX Transportation, and an OptiModal® expedited container service with Union Pacific Railroad and Norfolk Southern Railway.
