advertisement
Tomorrow, Savi Technology Inc., E.J. Brooks and RAE Systems plan to unveil a next-generation "smart cargo container" designed with multiple sensor and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) systems that can communicate with a global security network.
To be demonstrated at the U.S. Maritime Security Conference in New York City, the 40-foot international container includes a conventional front end equipped with inter-communicating sensor systems designed to detect the presence of radiation and unauthorized intrusions.
Co-developers Savi Technology, E. J. Brooks and RAE Systems believe a container with automated intelligence enables shippers to improve efficiency and security, according to a prepared statement.
