Transplace names Cashman CTO, Chiodo VP of sales

Today, Transplace Inc. named Roy Cashman chief technology officer and Vincent Chiodo, vice president of sales.
Since November 2001, Cashman has served as chief information officer and senior vice president for Ruan Transportation Management Systems, where he was responsible for designing and engineering logistics services. He previously served as senior vice president of applications development for Information Resources Inc. and vice president of information technology for US Freightways Inc.
Cashman will be responsible for developing Transplace's Web-based Dense Network Efficiency® platform designed to provide collaboration between shippers and carriers, and optimization technology to help lower transportation costs and improve service.
Chiodo most recently served as senior director of major accounts for Meridian IQ. He previously held various senior sales and management positions with Clicklogistics, ShipLogix, CHEP Americas and North American Van Lines.
A third-party logistics company, Transplace offers various transportation-management services, including outsourcing, single-source shipment transportation assistance, and automated employee file maintenance and compliance processing.
