advertisement
CSXI Intermodal and Union Pacific Railroad recently launched STAX, a domestic container program offering intermodal shippers 53-foot high-cube containers and logistics services for coast-to-coast moves.
The new containers include 110-inch door openings and floors designed to withstand 24,000 pounds.
STAX is designed to be a more cost-effective transloading option, enabling large retailers and other shippers to penetrate new markets, according to a prepared statement.
The program is available in the following CSXI and UP lanes: Atlanta; Boston; Chicago; Dallas; Denver; Los Angeles; New York City; Phoenix; Salt Lake City; Charlotte, N.C.; El Paso, Texas; Fort Smith, Ark.; Memphis, Tenn.; Reno, Nev.; Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio; Jacksonville and Tampa, Fla.; and Kansas City and St. Louis, Mo.
