Railroads' largest intermodal customer continues to garner accolades. United Parcel Service recently received the highest customer satisfaction rating in a J.D. Power and Associates shipping manager survey.

UPS ranked high in delivery driver and customer-service representative quality, and received higher-than-average ranks for shipping and delivery service options, pricing competitiveness, tracking information, communications, invoicing, and primary sales representative and account executive quality.

"Thirteen million times a day, customers place their trust in UPS … because they know they can count on our reliability," said Kurt Kuehn, senior vice president of UPS Worldwide sales and marketing, in a prepared statement.

In February, the Harris Interactive/Reputation Institute ranked UPS second overall for corporate reputation among the 60 most visible U.S. companies and Fortune magazine named UPS "America's Most Admired" transportation company for the 21st-straight year based on a survey of 10,000 senior executives, directors and analysts. The shipper was the only U.S. firm to be ranked No. 1 in four of eight categories: quality of management, financial soundness, use of corporate assets and social responsibility.
