Watco Supply Chain Services LLC has acquired BCM Logistics LLC, a Utah-based company that provides door-to-door intermodal service.

BCM operates an intermodal marketing company, contracting directly with Class Is and ocean carriers for repositioning of containers in domestic service, according to a Watco press release.

The BCM team will help to further differentiate Watco Supply Chain Services in the intermodal sector, said Lynda Patterson, Watco's vice president of growth strategies.

"As intermodal continues to be the fastest growing mode of transportation in the United States, Watco Supply Chain Services, a rail heritage company, is well positioned to offer our customers mode alternatives to ensure our customers' supply chains are optimized," she said.

BCM was founded in 2001 by Mike and Chad Schilleman.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
