Watco Cos. LLC will soon provide stevedore and terminal services directly for customers at its Greens Port Industrial Park at the Houston Ship Channel in Harris County, Texas.

Effective April 1, Watco will provide the services for bulk customers and, on May 1, for breakbulk commodities, company officials said yesterday in a press release.

Watco is working with Richardson Cos., its long-term Greens Port partner, to ensure a smooth transition for current Greens Port customers, they said.

Richardson will continue to serve its customers at Houston City Docks and Baytown, while continuing to partner with Watco in other capacities at Greens Port.

Watco is owner and operator of the 655-acre park, which offers more than 3 million square feet of warehouse space and access to Union Pacific Railroad, BNSF Railway Co. and Kansas City Southern.
