Kansas City Southern has reorganized its leadership in charge of the chemical, petroleum, industrial and consumer commodity groups, the Class I announced today.KCS has appointed Ginger Adamiak vice president of energy and chemical products, adding chemical and petroleum in the United States and Mexico to her responsibilities. She previously served as VP energy, industrial development and innovation.Additionally, KCS has promoted Yesica Gloria Marrufo to VP sales and marketing for industrial and consumer products in the United States and Mexico. Most recently, she served as assistant VP sales for metals, industrial, forest products, chemicals and petroleum."Ginger and Yesica are both proven leaders in the company and their fields,” said KCS Executive VP and Chief Marketing Officer Mike Naatz in a press release. “Their expertise with multiple commodities and areas of the company is important as we strive to consistently be the fastest-growing, best-performing, most customer-focused transportation provider in North America.”Adamiak has more than 20 years of rail industry experience. She joined KCS in 2006 as director of investor relations. She was appointed assistant VP marketing in 2011, assistant VP finance in 2015, and VP energy, industrial development and innovation in 2018. Prior to KCS, Adamiak worked for GATX Corp.Marrufo has more than 20 years of experience in railroad sales and marketing. She joined the company in 1997. Since 2008, she has served as assistant VP for the carload sales team.
