On March 2, Kansas City Southern and Kansas City Southern de México S.A. de C.V. (KCSM) held a ribbon cutting ceremony for a newly remodeled building at KCS’ office complex in Monterrey, Mexico. The building houses the engineering, purchasing, finance/accounting, medical and tax departments.
The remodeling is part of the Class I’s commitment to help develop Mexico, KCS and KCSM officials said in an item posted on the “KCS News” web page.
“The yard and offices in Monterrey are the heart of KCS’ operation, [where] our administrative and operating teams are using the latest technology to monitor and manage the entire KCS network in Mexico,” said KCSM Executive Representative Jose Zozaya. “These new facilities help to fortify our operation, building confidence among our customers, local communities and other stakeholders, and contributing to Mexico’s overall economic development.”
