As part of a top management reorganization, Kansas City Southern recently promoted four executives and changed direct reports for others at its two subsidiary railroads.

The company promoted:
• Scott Arvidson, from senior vice president and chief information officer to executive VP and chief information officer of KCS, and EVP and chief operating officer of The Kansas City Southern Railway Co. (KCSR);
• Warren Erdman, from SVP of corporate affairs to EVP of corporate affairs for KCS;
• Larry Lawrence, from SVP of strategies and staff studies and assistant to the chairman to EVP and assistant to the chairman of KCS; and
• William Nolen, from vice president of transportation to SVP of operations for Kansas City Southern de México S.A. de C.V. (KCSM) to succeed Manuel Zulaica, who left the company.

Arthur Shoener will continue to serve as president and COO of KCS, and president and chief executive officer of KCSR. Arvidson will hold the second-highest position at KCSR.

In addition, Nolen will report to Jose Zozaya, KCSM's president and executive representative, and SVP of International Purchasing and Materials Richard Zuza will report to EVP and Chief Financial Officer Patrick Ottensmeyer. Zuza previously reported to Shoener.
