KCS unveils mobile-friendly website

Kansas City Southern yesterday unveiled a new website for Kansas City Southern Railway Co. and Kansas City Southern de Mexico, S.A. de C.V. that is designed around customers' needs.

The new mobile-friendly site offers users new tools, resources and navigation to help them access information, company officials said in a press release.

President Patrick Ottensmeyer said "feedback from customers was paramount" in creating the site.

"Our objective is twofold. For existing customers, we want to make it easier than ever to do business with us online. For shippers seeking new solutions, we want to clearly illustrate how KCS is a smart choice for their supply chain needs," Ottensmeyer said.

The site's new features include a new Explore Shipping Options tool that delivers rules publications, public tariffs and intermodal transit times; an interactive map; a new Customer Resources section with access to online bill pay and fuel surcharge information; the MyKCS customer portal with tools and tutorials; a new corporate responsibility section; and information on KCS’ board and executive leadership team.
