Kansas City Southern de México restructures carload unit management

Kansas City Southern de México S.A. de C.V. (KCSM) recently restructured its carload business unit within the sales and marketing department to better reflect how customers purchase and manage transportation services in Mexico and the United States.

The railroad named Gloria Ballesteros vice president of sales and marketing-carload business unit. Most recently VP of network planning and customer service in the operating department, she will be responsible for the unit’s crossborder metals segment and Mexican sales force.

Owen Zidar, currently VP of sales and marketing-U.S. carload business unit, now will be responsible for both the Mexican and U.S. carload business units’ chemicals, forest products and industrial segments. He also will continue to oversee the U.S. carload business unit’s sales force.

In addition, KCSM named Jorge de Leon Perches VP of network planning and customer service. He most recently served as VP of mechanical. Assistant Chief Transportation Officer Oscar del Cueto Cuevas now will oversee the mechanical group as a component of KCSM’s operating department.
