On March 14, Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) and Transport Workers Union (TWU) Local 234 reached a tentative one-year agreement. The previous contract was set to expire at midnight March 14.

Approved by negotiators, the agreement is a full and binding contract that must be approved by the SEPTA board and TWU members. Contract terms weren’t disclosed pending ratification.

TWU is the authority’s largest union, representing more than 4,700 city transit division operators and mechanics.
