BLET, NS reach tentative agreement

The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen (BLET) recently reached a tentative agreement with Norfolk Southern Corp.

The pact covers rates of pay, work rules and benefits for about 5,100 locomotive engineers.

The BLET declined to release details of the agreement until ratification ballots are returned by members. The union expects to count ballots in early September.
