The Brotherhood of Railway Carmen/Transportation Communications Union/IAM (TCU) members who work for the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) have "overwhelmingly" ratified a new labor contract, the union announced late last month.

The contract covers the period of Feb. 17, 2017, through Feb. 16, 2022. The first wage increase took effect Nov. 24, union officials said in a press release.

Contract terms address rates of pay; clothing, tools and equipment; arbitration; holiday allowance; an attendance point system; vacation; and health and welfare benefits, including prescription drugs.
